The goal of this foundation is to award scholarship opportunities to high school seniors who embody the same educational aspirations and zest for life as Blake did.
After graduating from Woodstock High School in Woodstock, GA, Blake attended UCLA for his undergraduate degree, where he served as president of UCLA's Habitat for Humanity chapter and led a build trip to Nicaragua. He was heavily involved as a member of the Sigma Pi fraternity, as well as a community service officer with the UCLA Police Department.
Blake then completed his Master's degree from University of Southern California, where he graduated in the top of his class and as a member of the Phi Kappa Psi Honor Society.
During his time in California, Blake worked with individuals affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder as a behavior intervention specialist at the Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis. He also enjoyed working with children as an office administrator at the Sephardic Temple, and he fostered dogs through the Humane Society.
Professionally, Blake worked as a Senior Manager, a Senior Analyst, and a marketing consultant with various research groups.
Each year on Blake's birthday, October 25, we will release that year's scholarship applications. The winning scholarship recipients will be announced in the spring.
This organization has been approved by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity so that every donation will be tax deductible.
Effective date of 501(c)(3) exemption: 07/21/2021.
The Blake Nawrocki Leadership Scholarship will endow a Woodstock High School senior with a one-time donation, given on honor’s night, to be used towards college expenses.
Aside from the academic requirements, the student chosen must exemplify Blake’s characteristics: integrity, affability, honesty, and leadership.
The Blake Nawrocki Memorial Scholarship will endow a one-time donation to an outstanding candidate who possesses qualities which reflect the life and memory of Blake Nawrocki.
This scholarship is open to high school seniors from any school and also to students already enrolled in an accredited college or university.
Blake loved helping others and giving back to his community. Between building homes for the less fortunate through Habitat for Humanity, to fostering dogs from the Humane Society, to working with special needs children, he often prioritized serving others. That being said, he also maintained fantastic grades and found time to do the things that he loved- such as playing drums, attending music festivals, and hanging out with his friends at the beach.
In two pages or less, please talk about a time when you made sacrifices for your friends or for your community.
In addition to the short essay, please also include a copy of your resume and/or your school transcript.
Please submit your scholarship application and a copy of your resume and/or school transcript by April 2, 2025 to BlakeNawrockiScholarship@Gmail.com
Scholarship essay applications will open on October 25th of each year to celebrate Blake's birthday.
